Singapore, 20 May 2020 – Over 200 partners joined Kodak Alaris and TAIGER at the EMEA virtual Partner Summit to hear about next generation AI in document capture and its impact in shaping the way the world process documents.

Founder and CEO of TAIGER, Dr Sinuhe Arroyo spoke about the rising need for more intelligent automation to help office workers deal with complex and unstructured documents. Today’s machine learning based automation fails in reading and extracting information from complex and unstructured documents. Poor accuracy reduces its usability on business processes and limits its scalability and potential.

He added that TAIGER focuses on cognitive AI, which constitutes lesser known aspects of AI like Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Representation and Perception. These disciplines of AI replicates how humans think about tasks whereas Machine Learning represents the aspect of AI of how humans do tasks. While the latter has been popularised, cognitive AI has been gaining attention and investments by global tech players like Google, IBM and Microsoft for it’s potential in creating real impact in society and ROI for enterprises.

“There is a lot of misconception of AI due to over-inflated claims. What AI is and what value AI can deliver needs to be investigated because not all AI are the same. Today, it is not good enough to have ‘high tech’ but ‘reliable tech’. And our partnership with Kodak Alaris brings that to life,” said TAIGER’s channel partners lead, Mr Juan Pablo Rubio Pata.

Sinuhe shared about the game changing integration of Kodak Alaris Scanners with TAIGER’s AI-driven document reading software, TAIGER Extract, and concluded with a case study video of a successful deployment with a large MNC that saw a dramatic reduction in processing time and resources needed.

“With the rising need to stay agile and competitive, technology is that multiplier to help organizations get to the next level of digitisation. We are committed to help them get there and our partnership with TAIGER is a sterling example of delivering real value through active collaboration and engagement,” said Kodak Alaris’ EMEA & APAC Marketing Director, Miss Amanda Holmes.
