I would like to express my heartfelt concern for every single one of you, my colleagues, partners and clients, out there amidst this difficult situation we are all in.
It was in early February 2020 when the Covid-19 situation started hitting us hard. We moved to DORSCON orange in Singapore, and a Crisis Management Team was swiftly recruited within the company to put in place a business continuity plan. The team, together with the management, made decisions to protect the safety of the staff body as well as various SOPs to be activated in the unfortunate event of an emergency. This business continuity plan is an important strategy for us and will stay in place for as long as it takes for this global situation to settle.
We are currently into our 7th week of the national Circuit Breaker here in Singapore. Our employees in Spain, UAE and Mexico are also in the midst of a lockdown. Working from home is a new normal for us at TAIGER and it’s not easy. While we can’t be there physically for our staff, their well-being remains our top priority. Our People Team has been organising internal events such as virtual yoga sessions and lunch sessions via zoom to keep spirits up. We are reaching out to each of our staff in many ways and this will continue to make sure our teams stay strong.
TAIGER is part of society. It takes a community of businesses working in tandem with government authorities and citizens to bring a nation back to normalcy. This means, as a company, we should do our share to support communities and businesses affected by Covid-19. As part of our further community outreach efforts during this pandemic, TAIGER launched the global movement#MakeHomesGreatAgain on 1 May 2020, with a chatbot “Ask Phoebe” as a tool to suggest curated activities for anyone looking for suggestions to stay active at home. We are glad that this movement has garnered the support of various organisations such as IMDA, MullenLowe, Publicis Media, and Gush, and also been covered by media publishers such asCNA938, Yahoo Money, Asiaone and The Drum. We know these exposures will give communities as well as businesses, which have leveraged this platform, an extra boost to their daily efforts to stay active and positive in this pandemic.
Our slogan is to ‘make work light’. Everything that we do at TAIGER is to help governments and businesses augment their staff with the right tools to operate efficiently and effectively. Our technology, our thinking and talents to automate cognitive tasks becomes even more vital in a time like this.
To my colleagues, we hold a special responsibility to lift the weight of work for each other and the world around us. I hope we will live and breathe this mindset and stay tough together. Our company is resilient. We have seen and mastered challenging moments in our company’s journey and we will overcome this together.
To our partners and clients, TAIGER is committed to navigating through this difficult time as a team and adapting our business strategy to cope with the situation. On behalf of the management team and board of directors, I would like to assure everyone that we are confident to brave through the next months together and emerge even stronger.
Yours Sincerely, Sinuhe Arroyo CEO & Founder, TAIGER
